I have two words...SPRING TRAINING...the pitchers are throwing at 90%...using 1 or 2 pitches out of their arsenal...and are pitching against guys who are trying to prove something to the managers that they can play in the big leagues.

Jones is an established guy...I think we might be looking a little to much into things. If this is how is goin in May...we can come back and discuss it...

Gawd you guys... lighten up a bit, it's just humor, and my thread title did include the words spring training. I was going to save the pic for the regular season, but I couldn't resist posting it, with Jones' high ERA right now.

Jones even made light of his early struggles, and mentioned in an interview today that a reversible T-shirt should be designed and worn with the words I Hate Todd, or I Love Todd, according to how he pitched that day.

I would buy one of those shirts...I must say...seeing him blow a game in person in much worse than seeing him blow one on TV

The back end of our bullpen was supposed to be Cruceta, Rodney, Zumaya and Jones. Jones is the only one pitching in games right now. Scary stuff.

Update: Jones avoided an actual game by throwing in the pen today to work on location and build arm strength.
In this simulated action Jones gave up 2 runs on 6 hits while walking 2.

Jones is ready to go. He's in mid-season form already.

This is the one BIG question mark on an otherwise nearly perfect team. Somehow Jonesy generally gets it done but not until we all have ulcers. Let's hope our starters are so strong and leads so big that he doesn't make us sweat too often.
