We need an infusion of young talent to be competitive next year. Maybe a couple of good young pitchers to replace the retiring Rogers, the mediocre Robertson and the awful Willis. Jair Jurrjens is supposed to have a good arm and I hear great things about Andrew Miller. Porcello should be ready. In the outfield we need a fast corner outfielder with power in left -maybe this Maybin kid. Cabrera in right, Inge back to 3rd and Maggs to DH. In the bullpen, just pick any 5 guys off other MLB rosters and we're in much better shape. We also need to shed about 40 million in payroll - Pudge & Sheffield along with the Rogers and Robertson. I'm already excited about next year! | ||

Well at least Britney is probably washed up. Maybe sports are funny - at one point DET, BoSox and SEA were in last place and Balto (no talent), K.C., etc. were in first. Strange season so far! Ah, I still have Cabrera going to the HOF. I did bet in Vegas Cabrera to hit more then 34.5 HRs this season. I'll start my panic on Labor Day. | ||
