Those are delicacies in SJ. Run about the same price as caviar.

The good life is short lived. The Wings will be heading to Dallas shortly to finish devouring the Stars and dine on good Texas BBQ.

SJ BBQ... not so good.... No matter how much sauce you use, the goat ribs just don't taste like real Texas ribs.

OD: ES Failed to mention that in the SJ arena he's referred to as "Gramps" by the players' sweet young girlfriends and wives who sit all around him.

You're right about the SJ BBQ....who wants to eat barbecued goat!

There may be some who would like barbequed goat as long as it's prepared kosher.

Kosher and Halal. You are free to eat Kosher goat. Just don't "get jjaba's goat." Please.

ES: OD, Jjaba, and I are looking forward to a Wings vs Sharks Cup final...bring your checkbook...we don't give odds! Be sure to wave from the "Chick's" section.

Jjaba: Not to worry...we only intend to get ES's goat(s)!

GB: Sorry I would like to be there, but the Stars have toyed with SJ long enough. One more game in that series. Then the Stars head to Detroit for two losses, and then it's back to Dallas to finish the series and get some good ribs. No goat. Gramps will have to watch from home without the little girls on his lap. As I understand it, kosher BBQ goat is like a burnt offering with sauce and without the priest.

OD: Rabbi...not "priest"! Beards and black hats...not white dresses. I'm certain that ES will have to go back into therapy when he reads your post...his youngest is the significant other of one of the Sharks...hence his free tickets to all games. Do you know?...the Sharks do play with pucks and not tennis balls...correct?

GB: I guess I'm 2000 years behind the times when it was a priest. But you're right; it's a rabbi now.... So you're saying ES rents out his daughter for free Sharks tickets? If I was going to rent mine out, I would hold out for a better team.

OD: Naw...ES is the innocent recipient of the fact that his daughter fell in love with a NHL player...it means that he has to sit amongst a section of lovelies for every game...poor fella! I agree though...perhaps the boyfriend will get lucky and get traded to the Wings...truthfully, before I met ES I didn't even know that SJ had a major league team...I had assumed that the Sharks played at a level of backyard tennis ball hockey...My Bad!

GB: It was in the late 50's......28 degrees out....Hockey game at Heilmann... I remember standing along side the boards and watching a game.....I felt sorry for this defenseman...both teams were calling him 'Cotton Wrist' when he went to shoot... they kept it up throughout the game... and now I remember it was YOU!

GB: Do you think ES's boyfriend-in-law might know someone who can get us seats among the Wings lovelies when they play the Stars?

ES: You can come too. But remember Wings fans throw octopus on the ice after a goal, not tennis balls.

ES: My job was not to score goals but to rattle the back teeth of forwards and centers...admitedly I scored very few...maybe 4 or 5 in my entire hockey career...I did keep the dentists busy though.

OD: A REAL pal...I mean a really good pal...would offer to have his online buddies join him in SJ for a Wings-Sharks game...we could even pay for our own plane tickets (actually, I would drive over)...we could wear our Wings jerseys...a REAL pal would do that...do we know anyone like that?

ES: FACE VALUE? What's this "face value" sh__? We're talkin' comp...and a visit to the locker room...although we won't wear our jerseys for that visit...dumb we ain't!

No way...I followed a (then) fox named Violet to her room one time...ended up married to her (SE59)...ain't gonna do that again...I don't care if this one is a goat!

GB: What's the problem? Face value for a Sharks game can't be more than a couple bucks.

A word of warning... You guys need to be careful whenever the word "fox" and a girl's name appear in the same sentence. First there was Violet the fox and you know what happened there. Then there was hairy Renee the fox. Jury's still out on that one.

GB: Even the Shark players have to buy tickets for each game....I had to take the 59 yearbook away from Greta and Violet.... They kept looking at this guy with a princeton haircut from the January class......

OD: Points well taken...okay, we'll let ES off the hook on the comped tickets...sitting in the section of foxes will be reward enough...with our distinctive Wings jerseys...do the Sharks have a logo?

Oh yeah, I forgot about Renee's moustache.

GOL: What it has to do with Denby is Jjaba couldn't get into Denby so he had to settle for Cass Tech. We have to keep these conversations going to draw him out of his shell and save him from constantly wallowing in the despair of his high school years.

Olddetroiter is absolutely correct. jjaba applied to Denby and couldn't get in. Besides, Cass Tech. was closer and they spoke English downtown. His neighborhood high school was Mac Kenzie, not even in the running, because of Printing Dept.

jjaba.
