Mike Hessman just hit his 12th homerun, 20 some RBI, and .302 batting average. He was named the BEST defensive 3rd baseman in the International League last year. Put him at 3rd,Guillen and Cabrera can share 1st and DH. Send Gary packing! We need some life! |

Hessman's numbers don't transfer to the Major League level. Each time he's come up he strikes out too much. We really don't need another station to station right handed bat who we hope finds his power. I'm all for sending Gary packing and let's see what the rest of the team can do. I think his sulking presence is really bringing the team down with him. He's been fairly quiet since he's been here but it ain't happenin'. Let the youngs guys we have try to seek their own level and maybe that influx of youth will keep the others on their toes. |

Agreed, he strikes out a lot, but we sure could use the defense. Cabrera looks like he is in slow mo out there. He most likely hit 12 hr's in 35 games, but he will put more into the line up than Gary. |
