And remember, you can't carry a gun in churches or schools so you're on your own in the tunnel.

I do watch CSI, Law and Order and Cold Case Files once in awhile.

This is more like National Treasure.

Of course, the treasure is the church, and that is a good place to start.

I will have my four-way scapular medal on as always, and my Guardian Angel with me.

You might run into the ghost of Frank down there, and he might make you go out on puke patrol, so be careful

I'll have to stop by Locke Lumber and pick up a pail of saw dust just in case...and a clothes pin.

Don'ty be knockin' puke patrol. That was an honored position.
7K - sorry I missed that post. I didn't know Mrs. S. so no help here. I believe someone said a while back that they lived on EB but I don't remember them.

JC - The priest in your baptismal picture may have been Fr. Reckinger.
BTW, I think I may have served at your baptism. Once again, no tip. What's with your family?

I guess they are just naturally cheap. Also, I didn't have pockets in my Christening gown, so it was hard for me to take care of you.

I was just in the alter boy racket for the big bucks - and the occasional hit on the communion wine.

Jc: I finally got to see your FB pictures. Very nice. A lot of familiar faces, but there are two smiling ones I know for sure!

I placed my own picture on FB so I guess that's the end of that bit of mystique.

7andK,
Of course it's obvious who you are. You are a 3 week old baby boy.

Ok, I've had a busy day today. I went through some of my mom's stuff that I have stored here, and I found a 1951 Church Calendar!!
It is now posted on FB, so go take a look.
she kept it because my sisters Baptismal announcement is in it.

I also found some pictures from my oldest sister's wedding in 1957 at the new church. I will post later tonight or tomorrow. I don't want too much excitement at once.

JCole: the 51 Calendar was a great find. Thanks for the post on Facebook. It is interesting to note that the Holy Name Society sponsored the athletic activities of the parish at the time. I recall the Dad's club later on would be prominent in that endeavor. The baseball team's stats were listed with the number of at bats, runs, and hits per player. Interestingly, St. Jude beat St David 7 to 5 with 8 players. Go Jets!

On the way to the game, we got a special treat! Old St. Mary's was open. My son took some pictures:

7K: Thank you and your son for sharing those St. Mary Photos. St. Mary like St. Jude has that certain ambiance and awe that merit capturing photographically.
