Yes, not the best venue for a baseball game, but it's about the same distance as KC, so you can do it in a day.

This game looks like the perfect scenario to bring in Willis to see what he's got.

Minneapolis/St. Paul is supposed to be a great area. Lots of good restaurants and museums.

The Twin Cities is great in the summertime. You do not want to spend a winter there it's brutal. Minneapolis is modern and St Paul is older, but both have cool buildings and yes there's plenty to do there.

Yes, I've heard about the winter weather. My daughters ex boyfriends sister went to college up there, and it was a real bite when they went to visit.

I was up there during January once for some training and it -20 degrees -60 wind chill, that is not something to mess around with. They closed all the schools down, they don't just do that up there for no reason.

All this talk of Polish food got me thinking of this: Kinde Polka Fest 2008. September 13 and 14, 2008. Kinde, Michigan. This could expand the Nostalgia Expo into uncharted territory. Unfortunately, I'll be away on the 10th annual UP Yours Motorcycle Tour then.

Well, I'm actually NOT slacking for a day - and I miss out on all the good polish food talk! Polka Fest in Kinde - like the sounds of that! Now I have a lot of reading to catch-up on - and pickle recipes to copy - and restaurants to note - and batman to unmask....the list is endless....

Has anyone noticed we have far and away the highest post count of any current thread? All from about a dozen of us. Talk about slackers!

EB, there's a reason for that. I've only been really active for a month, and you'll notice my post numbers are 1080. Prior to April, it was at 3.

Good. I'll flip over for a minute. I try to stay away when they're iffy. I tend to send them into a downward spiral

Huge win! Pistons steal home court.

ESPN analysts very disappointed.

I didn't miss George Lopez for nothing!

EB: Thanks for inviting us all up to your lakefront home during the week you will be gone.
We'll take good care of your speed boat and ski-doos. Just leave us the wi-fi codes so we can continue our creative multi-tasking.

I figured y'all would camp out in beautiful downtown Kinde. Best way to have the total experience of Polka Fest. My humble 1950's era house trailer (very common around here) wouldn't compare.

Oh, that's okay. As long as I'm within walking distance to Pointe aux Barques, I'll be happy in your old 'house trailer'. Tornado season is over by then,
