The spelling of one of the words was altered since this is a church thread and I don't want detention.

I would have let her ponder it a little longer myself. Go figure.

"Church thread" is this internet forum and not what the Altar Society uses to mend the Altar Cloth. But if you needed that type of thread, you might find it a McDevitt's!

Well, there goes my reputation as a tough taskmaster in gardening and clean-up! BTW --see I'm catching on---did anyone see the truck that hit me that day? The next day was brutal!

Never mind the lock. I'm riding out the next wave of bad weather. But if you could slide a box of donuts, and a six-pack of Stroh's down the coal shute in back of the convent, it will be most appreciated!

Z: This is for mornings only. For afternoons and evenings, it's Better Made potato chips and Stroh's.

Since I no longer imbibe it will have to be Better Made & Vernor's which by the way can be purchased in Ames, Iowa now. Still whip a Vernor's float once in a while.

We ARE supposed to have more bad weather today - and a nice cold Strohs after work sounds like a wonderful idea. It's been decades since I enjoyed a Strohs - switched to Labatts and come bowling time - it was always a "Blue". Okay, I'm going to ask another dumb question - can we still buy Strohs - and if so, I'll pry open the coal chute and shoot some down -
on another note from yesterday - went in to church yesterday on my recon - and the black marble block to the left of what used to be the main altar - DOES say that it contains a relic of St. Jude. Now whether there was another in the main altar that was removed during the wreckovation, I still need to investigate.

7: At least you didn't have to struggle too long on the McDevitts name, I'm still waiting for it to click with someone the name of the "Other Drug Store" I called there yesterday and they had no clue. Come on people it had to have another name before Quick Save.

Hmmm... I have been noticing a glow coming out of that piece of marble once in a while.

That may explain why your house is the only one in Iowa not flooded.

Z's chunk of marble may be a key that fits into a niche like in the Indiana Jones movies.

Rice Krispies were okay...with 4 heaping tablespoons of sugar!

I prefer Sugar Smacks, Sugar Pops, Sugar Frosted Flakes and Fruit Loops.

But, I do agree, since I no longer drink beer, that Rice Krispies do taste better with a LOT of sugar, but it has to be brown sugar, none of that refined white stuff.

My past experience with Stroh's is that if you drank enough there would be cool sound effects. Same with Goebel,E&B & Blatz (or Blatzted as we used to call it)

Stroh's was the worst hangover beer, ever.
Blatz was water in a can, the eastern equivalent of Coors.
E&B,Goebel's and Weidemann's were the best really cheap drunk
