That and some steel toed boots, and you can go anywhere. Well, and pants, of course. |

Why does it look like I'm stuttering - all my posts are going out first and then on a few second time delay! See - all these directives before I leave on a trip... I thought I was all set with the professional attire - laptop - and tickets - now I have to remember steel toed boots, nun shirts, weak and killed shirts and a boatload of acronyms! |

C'mon Mar, we really don't think you're THAT naive. If you can find your way to Philly alone, you're way ahead of a lot of people. |

NO....I was kidding! I've travelled over 100,000 miles for this company from Seattle to Boston and many states in between - no problems yet - but when I think back - I've had an army of guardian angels watching over me. Who knew that opening your door to a "maintenance guy" from the hotel was the wrong thing to do. Thankfully, back when I started this training/travelling, folks were just as trusting! |

I know that now - but years ago, it wasn't a big deal. I even prop the door open when the room service guy comes in. It wasn't too long ago, while in Dallas that I had to literally jump out of a cab, throwing the $$ at the driver because he wouldn't let me out and he was lost. I could see the office building in the distance and ran for it! Another time, the concierge gave me directions to a church in downtown LA, said it was walking distance - yeah, under viaducts with inhabitants, etc., well, you either re-trace your steps or keep going, I kept going- now THAT was an adventure! |

Do you know the Red Hot Chili Pepper's song "Under the Bridge"? It's about the lead singer shooting up under a viaduct in LA, and never wanting to feel that way again. Kind of like your walk through LA LA land? |

Actually, many of his ilk. When the office manager found out where I had walked - I got the "how could you....." verbal lashing...Apparently, it was the Cass Corridor of LA. This happened in the early 80s. Well, who knew? |
