12468, OUCH! How good were your feelings about the Wings when they beat the Preds in the first round? Okay, that wasn't fair. Were you glad they won the Stanley Cup, or were you rooting for the Penglosses? |

everyone knew the preds wouldn't win the playoffs vs the wings, but they gave a good effort. we lost quite a number of better players, and this year's team wasn't expected to even be there. and to be honest, i was pulling for the penguins and crosby. |

Welcome laing, We look forward to hearing about your experiences at SJS good and bad. Checking out the Facebook page is a must to avoid duplication of efforts. Also, if you have pics it is a great repository for everyone to share. Don't buy into Eastburn's "Catholic Guilt Trip" shtick. Some of us were never cleansed of the brain washing the nun's gave us. Others have buried it deep into our conscience and are now just rising from the ashes to sort it all out. Fair warning, Detroit sports are deeply ingrained in most of us and even though myself having left Michigan 10 years ago has not lost the zeal for our sports teams (well maybe the Loins) but that light dimmed before the move. Slacking from home today and feeling kind of ripped off having drove over 450 miles yesterday to see our Tigers play a very lackluster game. It felt like my son and I were the only one's at the Hump who cared. |

Aww, Z, we all feel for you. A day off with your son at the ball park and a five day weekend. It must be tough to feel so ripped off. |

Like we've said before...you can say just about anything, as long as you insert a smiley face. |

I couldn't quite tell, does that smiley face have its tongue firmly implanted in its cheek? |

You mean you can't see the little bitty bump in his cheek? I'll have to make a new one. |

Z: Feel your pain...welcome back to the American League Central divison...it's a long season 12468: Dennis Wrosch lived across the street from Connie Pelkey closer to Moross. I was a member of Pack 420 as a cub scout and then for a short time as a member of troop 420...a couple of trips to D-A and Camp Howell...didn't make it past tenderfoot....You must have had great leadership to achieve Eagle Scout...That, in my estimation, is always a feather in one's cap. There were a ton of cub scouts and boy scouts (in the mid 60s) the gym/auditorium was always jammed for pack or troop meeting....Who were your scout leaders? Another JJ pic. Enjoy

J, so you meant that? Sorry, I missed it, but you're right, it's good to have the group on board, once again. EB's concerned about 7&kk. It's about time for him to chime in with some of his poignant posts. |

Kellyroad, now that is a picture. in my day, the Chambers lived across from the Pelkeys, so Wrosch must have been before me. As for scouts, George Nolte was my cubmaster, and Don Peltier and then Bill Cackowski were troopmasters. I got my Eagle in '71. yes, there were a ton of cubs when I was in - always filled the gym for pack meetings. Remember the uniform inspections? |

Don't be reliculous! I posted a link to more information about relics than one would be able to read in the time between your last two posts. I think it was entitled, "All you ever wanted to know about relics, but were petrified to ask". Oh, and welcome back. |

I'm a little disappointed you haven't been living up to your Slacker duties, 7KK. Welcome back, BTW. I was getting worried about you. See, Z, more guilt. I've really got it going now. Guilt when you slack off & guilt when you don't. A shining example of a product of Catholic education. Btw, got the garage all emptied out in anticipation of the epoxy floor going in Monday. Now that I've moved it all to the pole barn, I have a winter long project sorting it all out. No slacking for this boy. |

7&kelly kid, that address looks like it was south of Morang over close to Denby. I was between Casino and Moross, so sorry, no recollection. |

7K - You betcha! 40 X 80. Only problem is it's 10 miles from the house. Best I could do. Even have 1/4 of it insulated & heated in case the bride ever decides to throw me out. Thanks for the reference to middle aged. At my age, that's a compliment. |

Wow! 3200 square feet. J's right EB. Your pole barn would be perfect for the thread party! (Message edited by 7andkelly on July 03, 2008) |

Large turnout, hell. You could have a barn dance in there. I think the place I got married was smaller, and that was in my sister's barn. |

The only problem is that it's now full of the stuff I moved out of the garage. I think I may have come across a couple of relics, though. |

If we have the party in your barn, I'm sure we'll see lots of relics! |
