A little after noon, Z. Didn't you hear the bells ring? Ir's OK, though, it's a Saturday. |

Z: The object appearing out of the upper right side of the mystery photo was the "Dukane" product tag on the PA speaker. Now THAT'S a trivia question: What brand of PA equipment did St. Jude School have?.....7,(the AV guy) would have been excluded from the competition. |

You'll have to flip your own bill on the transportation. Just expense it. |

I just woke up about half an hour ago. We're having a silver day here. Clouds and rain with intermittent thunder. Love a good summer rainstorm. |

The correct response to "Looks like it's going to be a golden day" was to sing the tune to the Golden Graham's cereal commercial: "Oh, those golden grahams. Oh, those golden grahams..." |

That's one response. Another is a scene where "A family was camping and when they wake up in the morning, one person yawns and says, "Looks like it's going to be a Golden Grahams day!" And in Willie Wonka, it's "I've got a golden chance to make my way And with a golden ticket, it's a golden day" So we have a combination of right and wrong. |

I'm sure wars have been fought over issues such as this. But not this time. You win J! |

Of course we don't want to go to war over something as cheerful as a golden day. But thank you for conceding. I believe we were both correct anyway |

We're 10 games back, but COPA's packed still because all the tickets were sold before the season started. We had a fun evening yesterday despite the loss...the affect of which was muted by the fact we're no longer in contention. There are still the twinges of pain when the other team is sealing the win, but life's a stage, and there is always something interesting and/or funny to watch...like when Todd Jones was giving them up in bunches in the ninth and Leland let him rot on the vine because the game was already out of reach, and it didn't matter anyway. Hopefully, the Tigs can seal the win tonight for Verlander. |

Hopefully the Lions won't disappoint tomorrow...if that's still possible. Amongst the people I know, not only are expectations low for the Lions, interest is too. Hopefully, they can get into the season and through it without a lot of injuries. I know the pre-season games don't "count", but if we're going to play them, I want to win. GO LIONS! Beat the Bengals. |

Are we going to start more lyrics? Cool. "Don't tell me not to fly, I simply got to If someone takes a spill, it's me and not you Who told you you're allowed to rain on my parade" |

8....makes me think of: There's a magic in the early morning we found When the sunrise smiles on everything around It's a portrait of the happiness that we feel and always will For 8 is enough to fill our lives with love Oh, we spend our days like bright and shiny new dimes If we're ever puzzled by the changing times There's a plate of homemade wishes on the kitchen window sill And 8 is enough to fill our lives with love |

"There's a magic in the early morning we found When the sunrise smiles on everything around" - if only we could all be this positive and optimistic all the time! If life is a struggle, and often it is, it's a struggle against negativity, and pessimism. |

Just saw where Todd Jones was placed on DL...and to think we were likely there for his last game as a Tiger...now if we can only find someone good to replace him. |
