Diane, your comment about Z's light reminds me of that quote from one of my favorite Christmas movies, Christmas Vacation: "That's not the friggin' Christmas star Griz. It's the light from the sewage treatment plant". - Clark's Uncle Lewis.

KR, the bottom picture is the spotlight which shines on the bell tower.
The third one is the statue of St. Jude at the peak of the front of the church.

In that case, the 3rd picture is part of the St. Jude Parish sign on the lawn in front of the gym.

7andkelly--LOL I remember that. You know, I think I like that line better.

The 5 Pics? I am completely confounded. I will go get my cheerleader's uniform on and cheer you all from the sidelines. :-)

When Miss Hoover made a monumental discovery, she exclaimed, "Eureka!" :-)

Hey, can I sharpen pencils today?

ALL: hints on the pics

The signs are very familiar to all at St. Jude and in the nearby neighborhood
All the signs or an upgrade of the signs have been seen by thousands and in some cases by millions over several decades
Only one of the signs is located indoors.
The newest of the signs has been around for at least 45 years.
If the signs were shown in color another clue would be evident (but not yet)
All the pictures include letters or punctuation marks from the signs
There is nothing obscure or in "fine print"
Looking for what are the signs and where are they located.

Looking "all" around, the "ER" could be St. John's Hospital's Emergency Room.

A wild guess that the 4th picture is from the sign "inside" the building, indeed inside St. Jude Church itself: "banns of marriage"

And the fifth just hit me. It's the period in the St. Jude sign on the gym.

J, I'm guessing it's just a picture of the statue at the top of the front of the church, but I don't rule out it being a replica.

And just to be different, I'm going to guess the third sign says: "HARPER WOODS CITY LIMITS", even though I like J's answer better.

You can stay in Tennessee Laing, the drive is too far. The sign in the picture is further than where your family parked the car.

Is it the Fordham sign from the corner of Fordham and Moross,or Fordham and Redmond with a long zoom?
