z, wish i could go. there were only 50 tickets for people in nashville - went to the politicos. the roads and sidewalks are closed around the campus, the dorms are on lockdown, and the area around, which is adjacent to vanderbilt univ is held like a war zone with temporary pop up barriers in the intersections. mccain came yesterday about noon, and obama is due in after lunch. the ride from the airport to the debate site is probably 10 miles, and the security along the route is like no other. nope, will park myself in front of a tv. |

7, that sounds like an honest to God great plan. I am so tired of commercials, interviews, debates, newscasts, etc, that I could scream. Not to mention all the 11 x 14 glossy ads I keep getting in the mail from both parties. All of it's just a waste of money. Why don't they donate it to the Bail Out fund? |

KR/Laing, enjoy your "fun" watching the debates. If you say there's one tonight I believe you. |

Thanks, J. Unfortunately, big money from all sides will preclude implementation of this plan. So I came up with something I can better control. In two aught twelve, I will simply save my vacation days, pool my personal days, and take off for the U.P. for the month. I will leave my laptop at home, and stay only in B&Bs and cabins and stuff without TV. |

I just read in the Macomb Daily that Mr. Kayuk passed away. I believe most of us crossed paths with one of their kids at one time or another through SJ/ND/Regina |

Jim Kayuk class of 67 SJ, ND 71....lasting impression of him was his love of music. I remember him writing music and being an excellent guitarist. Saw him a couple of years after HS graduation in a concert where he was lead guitarist and vocalist..He rivaled Ted Nugent at the time...no kidding. Not sure, but I think he lived over on Liberal or Manning just west of Heilmann....nice person ...hope he is doing well. |

I know it wasn't Liberal KR, but it may have been Manning, I know I was over there more than once and yes it was west of Heilman. I seemed to remember Bill Kayuk dating Lori Shaheen through grade school and most of HS. |

Hey, all, I just got a postcard from CFG. She said to tell you all HI. EB, she said to let you know that Munising is all tore up with road work, they ate at DogPatch, and stayed at the Alger Falls Motel but and Christmas was just about shut down (Message edited by jcole on October 11, 2008) |
