Technically, it's not a poem, it's a lyric. And he was paid PLENTY for that 'scatalogical dung'. It also won a Tony Award and a Grammy. And, he was an Iowan. |

Everyone loves a parade, JC. And thanks for that reminder Diane (I wonder if she's Sheila's daughter). I'm waiting for them to start showing those reruns on TV Land, or maybe channel 50. Thankfully, I Dream of Jeannie is back. Z, I know the market is in the crapper once again, but please put the pistols back in the gun case. |

In three months you'll be lucky if they let you wear short sleeves. In a year, you'll be lucky if you have any clothes at all. |

And there's a Gordon McRae in the woodpile somewhere, too. If you guys like nostalgia, I belong to a couple of Y groups (yesteryearland and good_old_tv) that talk about all things retro. They are really nice groups and the folks are all kind and decent. Everybody picks on everybody but in good fun. Z---I love the Sex Pistols and their offshoot Public Image Limited and Malcolm McClaren. Go to FB and check out my top friends playlist sometime. Well, Z Ah best be lettin' yew git back ter yer wood choppin' |

I meant Meredith died in 2000 of a brain tumor. Her mother Sheila is still alive. Meredith was married to Greg Mulavey |

Him and Conklin both, Z. We were oot and aboot, so we only got the hear half of the third period. J, thanks for confirming my lucky guess about Sheila, and sorry to hear of Meredith's passing. Diane, thanks for the invite, but I would have trouble adjusting to a group where "the folks are all kind and decent".:-)) |

That's ok guys. It's just the Saintjudatude we all have. I think it's brought on by years of exposure to plaid, chalkdust and nuns with long rulers. |

I'll buy the plaid and chalk dust exposure argument if you say so, but I will defend our Adrian Dominican Nuns to the end. |

I, of course defend them. They did provide the best education. I was speaking with tongue firmly planted in cheek. |

Eastwood_Rex, where'd ya go? Hope you weren't offended by any of the postings or posters on this thread. If you're who I think you are, you and your family are steeped in SJ history and tradition. And I'm pretty sure we ran into your dear Mother more than a few times at JL Hudson's at Eastland. My Mom knew your Mom well, and thought highly of her. Chime back in sometime, and share some SJ School or Church stories. |

7andkelly---Did you by chance know the Fresetto's? Oh, and I worked at Hudson's at Eastland Mall from 83-86. did you shop there then? I was in the Rainbow Budget Store downstairs in women's clothing. I was the cute adorable one. (Message edited by diane12163 on October 26, 2008) |

You just missed me Diane. I worked there in 77/78. I was the skinny, greasy haired, metal mouthed kid with the ink stain on his shirt pocket because I was too cool to use a pocket protector. |

Who didn't work at Hudsons? I was also in the Basement - Mens Underwear ---Admittedly it was an "interesting" department to work in.....especially through High School. |

I didn't work there. Actually I didn't work anywhere until I was 18 and got a job as a waitress at a greasy spoon in Almont. My dad wouldn't sign work papers for me. I liked my dad |

I applied for a job cutting mushrooms after I graduated from high school. Fortunately, I got hired at the local hospital before the Mushroom farm accepted me. From what I understand, a lot of people lost a few fingers in that place. |

No, I think it was still only used in bullet proof vests back then. I'd be at a real loss working on computers without fingers, ya know? |
