I get it.... It's not a baseball park after all It's Ford Field.... Didn't Ray Chapman die playing ball....Didn't the Lions? It does look like Ford Field in the slit picture...Very tricky Z, very tricky. |

It has been established it is in Tiger Stadium. KR the Lions die playing ball on more fields than Ford Field. Slit picture is of Tiger Stadium also, Al Kaline and Mickey Cochrane have a role in it. |

1. It's in the visitor's dugout at TS. 2. It's related somehow to Roy Chapman, who died from a pitch to the head, but you said it's not a shield. 3. Roy Chapman was also famous for stealing bases. So possibly this was installed to obstruct the visiting manager's view of the catcher. This would ideally make it more difficult to give the steal order since he would have trouble seeing pitches coming in to the plate, and our catcher's moves toward a pitchout. |

Look at the object in the right corner carefully. Fly right and keeps your flaps down |

I'll give a split to 7 & JC. 7 you get to pass the basket from the center aisle and JC you pass it from the east end of the pew.

Ray Chapman's death in 1920 mandated that new balls were to be used at all time. As far as wearing helmets: The Brooklyn Dodgers en masse started putting plastic liners into their tradition caps in 1941. Individual players had been doing this though beforehand. Modern-day helmets were not mandated until 1971 and ear flaps not until 1982 or '83. Thus, this rack would not have been part of the original design of the dugout |

I had to look up Ray Chapman, and when I read his history, I figured it had to be something to protect their heads. Hey, 7, we're partners yet again. |

Laing, from what you have told me, my guess is your furnace has a dirty thermocoupler (I assume you tried to relight the pilot and it didn't stay lit). It can usually be cleaned with a skinny wire brush duct taped to a longer metal stick (cut out the long straight end of a coat hanger). This part is also dirt cheap, and an easy repair. Of course, if the repair guy's already been there, and tells you there is a hole in the heat exchanger, prepare to get hosed for a few thou on a new one (but pay the extra and get a high E with the direct vent pvc pipe exhaust out the wall). |

As for the auto industry question, there is an agreement to keep the hot button political sht out of this forum, and I plan to honor that. |

thanks about the name of alan almond. brings back many memories. we have an insurance policy through american home shield - only out $55. so the furnace is working - a conductor on the a/c was sending cooling to the furnace and the condensing unit was frozen up. all fixed now and we are tosty. i didn't mean to be political about my question on the auto bailout, just am concerned about the city - so rememeber being at wsu when lee iacocca (and i know that is bad spelling) went through the tough times with chrysler. |
