saw in the news that the lions could beat the saints. and, if titans lose, the steelers will tie them for the record, then, who knows. |

It could happen. New Orleans still has a shot at a wild card spot, so they'll be motivated to win. But Green Bay is out of the playoffs, so they really have nothing to play for. Well, nothing except to NOT be the team that loses to the Lions this year. |

JC - I think the Laydowns have a good chance to win this Sunday if they play like they did against the colts. If it comes down to the last game, I don't think GB will rollover for them seeing as they will be playing for a spot on their own team next year. |

Yep, I've been to the Magnolia Cafe many times. There's actually two of them. Great breakfasts, the gingerbread pancakes are incredible! |

I've been there several times. It's in a great kitschy shopping area. Lot of antique, resale and funky little shops. It's not real far from Shady Grove. That place is also funky cool |

Sad to say South Congress has changed a bit. It's becoming much more upscale, and some of the funkier places (like the resale, antique and toy shops) are being forced to move because of escalating rents. They've been replaced by trendy restaurants. Still a great place to go for dinner and to meet friends, but it's not quite the same. A victim of it's own success in a way. |

Laing...thanks for the good laugh...it's just what I needed today. "defrock the wings"? hahahahaha! Dude, your preds suck! You got the Titans this year...count your blessings, and limit your wine intake:-) BTW, the Lions will be 1-14 after this weekend...hopefully. Holy crap, Tsom! Can't believe number 6 is that old. I bet his rifle arm is still stronger than most twenty year olds though. Boy ... I get busy for a few days, and I'm like a thousand posts behind. Are you people all layed off now, or just good slackers? |

We missed you, 7. Glad you're back. Heading down to the city for my son's birthday party then bringing all 4 grandkids up here for a few days of snow foolishness. Hope I survive until Christmas. |

Z, don't rule out finding that Clarks Teaberry gum. You can find a lot of retro candy online. You might have to buy a case of it, mind you... |

EB/J, thanks. Z, do you have any Beeman's gum? It was my Dad's favorite. That taste, or the scent of a freshly lit cigar brings my memory of him to a clear focus. J, I'll trade you my "street department" job for your "cafeteria" job. |
