If the Ford Family really cares - the time is NOW for wooing either Lewis (Cincinnati) or Singletary (San Francisco) for the position of Lions Head Coach.

Likely too late for one/both of these gents.

Jets Head Coach was fired too this morning. God, I hope WCF doesn't decide to hire him here.

So this season begs the question which owner is the most senile/clueless: William Clay Ford of the Lions or Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders?

Remember Davis' firing of coach Lane Kiffin and subsequent press conference tirade earlier in the season.

Raptor56,
Ford is definately the most clueless owner in the NFL. Say what you will about Al Davis but at least his teams have been to 4 Super Bowls and have won 3 of them.

YAY!

That's 5 head coaches that the Ford Family fired in 14 years. Bring on more show horse coaches and Lions will lose another NFL season.

Singeltary is staying in San Fran, Lewis is a train wreck in progress. Why would anyone want another unproven coach (Singeltary), or a coach (Lewis)that ran a once promising team with actuall talent into the shitter.

No hope for the Lions until Ford sells the franchise. I don't care how many coaches and name players they bring in, nothing will change until the organization changes from the top down. They need to develop a "winning culture" in that locker room and these band-aid fixes will never accomplish that.

I thank Norris everyday for selling the Red Wings. Hopefully someday we can thank Ford for the same reason. Hopefully sooner, not later.

Are the Lions paralleling the Tigers. Become one of the losingest teams ever, then play in the championship game 2 years later, and become a league power?

Honestly it does not matter who they get as head coach, Without a huge overhaul in the player area no coach will help.
