I hope you all can join us for this event. This is a very worthy cause for a super lady that has always been a great help to me in all of my Detroit related projects and interests. Humble and super talented, Leni is most deserving of our assistance with respect to her housing issues. I urge you to read more about Leni and the cause via the enclosed and support us in this effort. Thanks for shoutin' out to Leni, yet another Det treasure...one of her Sun Ra pix adorns my living room wall...perhaps a "new generation" (cue: Albert Ayler) will appreciate her work. |

This benefit will aid Ms. Sinclair directly. The property she has leased for ten years has been foreclosed on. Funds will aid in her relocation and the purchase of her own home. TWH Metals is a very cool, huge industrial space. The Motor City Music Factory is a neat idea. |

Thanks, Leo. I'll try stopping in early on. Leni is just a great yet humble Detroit photographer. I've got her photos on my wall too. |

"Frijid Pink is still around??? Close my eyes and pretend i'm at a U of D High sockhop circa 1973". The only original member is the drummer, he reformed the band about 2 years ago with new players. Still a real good band that plays a few shows per year. They have a myspace page that has new songs and videos. Gary Ray Thompson, the original guitar player is still in town, and plays out once and a while, and also has a myspace page with new songs. |

Jesus, I remember Frijid Pink from the Grande Ballroom. Did they have a storefront on/near Forest, or am I thinking of Pink Peech Mob? I recall them as being one of my favorite Det bands. |

Saw them with Toby Redd at Notre Dame HS, opening for Frost. They were pretty good. Toby Redd was not so good. For me at the time, Frost could do no wrong. |
