What is the story behind the Midtown urban prairie park on Charlotte and Fourth Street? It has brand new playground equipment sprinkled around the ruins of old swings and slides. Drive by this place if you have never seen it, it's very strange. |

Is this the area that Techtown/Henry Ford Health System plans to build new housing? There is a plan to name an existing or new street around Fourth to Ford something. Check out the area south of Henry Ford Hospital, the hospital is buying up property on Lincoln, Trumbull and Sterling between the Blvd and Holden, leaving the houses open and vacant and the remaining residents in an unsafe environment. |

Sorry, I need a map today. Ford Hospital is planning new housing around Fourth and Holden. The area they are clearing on Lincoln, Trumbull and Sterling is probably going to be a giant parking lot. Time will tell. Lincoln is mainly a parking lot at this time. |

Rugbyman, Tell that to my brother who has lived on Trumbull for forty years and does not want to move. Take a stroll over there, see what the remaining residents are up against. If the hospital is building new housing, then perhaps the displaced residents will get an opportunity to come back. At this point, no news from the hospital and more parking lots in the area. Ford Hospital has only recently admitted they were the actual buyers as they wanted to keep their purchase price low. So much for "Serving the Community" per the logo on their shuttle buses. Guess, you have to be there to feel the pain and sense of loss of the residents and former residents. |
