Next week is Motown week on American Idol. Today, the contestants are being flown to the Motown Museum, where Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson are going to mentor the 10 contestants. I think it is great that they are filming segments for the show in Detroit rather than in a sound studio in Los Angeles. This is the first time American Idol has had a true Motown week since the second season, when Lamont Dozier mentored the contestants.
