RFK with Gov. Arnold Schwarzeneggerquote:Bobby Kennedy Jr. of GoLeft TV and Air America's Ring of Fire talks with actor and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger about politics, the environment, as well as who wears the pants in the Schwarzenegger house - Arnold or Bobby's cousin Maria Shriver? At about 6:00 into this video Bobby begins to crack into this issue:
quote:Bobby: You grew up at a time in Nazi Germany and you saw the transformation of that country into a dictatorship.... Is there anything that you see today that worries you about the direction that this country is going? Arnold: I'm absolutely convinced that the kind of dirty work that sometimes goes on today of things that you have just described has been going on in the history of America. I don't think there's anything new, I mean I think the technology when you talk about eavesdropping and all those things, I think the technology's much more up to date now and is much more advanced than maybe it was in the old days. I think the CIA and the FBI and those agencies all have done things that most of us don't know about and was not within the framework of what we ought to do and what is legal and what is right and all that. So, of course I have concerns when things go on that we don't know about and then you read about it finally and it has to do with torture and all those kinds of things. But I think you can't compare it at all with Germany because Germany was a totally different mindset of going systematically after certain people that are not pure white and they're not of the same religious belief and so on. I think that they went after the Jews and they murdered brutally six and a half million Jews and there was a horrible history where the whole Germany was kind of part of -- with maybe the exception of a small amount of people that were not -- but you can't compare America to that at all. I think that there's a small percentage of things that are going on in this country or what this country knows about bringing people to certain areas where torture is still allowed and they don't have to abide by the law, the rules, but you can't compare the two. |

Arnold is a turncoat, like too many others in the Republican party willing to turn a blind eye to the colossal hoax that is man made global warming for political expediency. Didn't this guy usher Hummer into the civilian market by buying an H1 for personal use? How about private jets and huge mansions requiring carbon emissions approaching those of Al Gore? Hypocrisy anyone? |

If Arizona Senator McCain were to win the Presidential election, I would be all for the people who had voted him in to be the "test subjects" for his "consumer-directed health care plans". As a former group/individual health insurance agent, there was one company that I represented that was headquartered in Ohio, that offered one of the lowest premiums and reasonable deductibles/co-pays in the nation. Unfortunately, they would routinely reject every application for health insurance, if a member or members of the applicants' family(s) had a prior history of health problems. Of course, in a group application situation, ALL were rejected as a result. I can only imagine what would happen if that company's strict acceptance policies were to be the blueprint for McCain and Co's harebrained individual health care proposal. |

The problem is that the system is partially socialized now...make it a free market system and this problem would correct itself. Or, eschew insurance as a middle man and adopt a medical savings plan...no denial of coverage possible there. |
