Post some of this type of stuff (lyrics) in my Haters Topic if you get a chance guys. What do you favorite albums/songs mean? What are your idols trying to say? I want to expand my views. |

quote:What do you favorite albums/songs mean? What are your idols trying to say? I think analyzing lyrics is a waste of time frankly. Only the writer really knows what they are trying to say. The listener might get a totally different meaning out of it. Also some songs don't mean anything, they just sound good. |

What I meant was what do they mean to you? I know it's all artistic speculation. What does it mean for you? It can mean many things. I agree. If it's a waste of time for you then you don't have to contribute. I am looking for the REALLY deep ones. Not the poppy dance nothings with no point. It's fun to see what people got out of them. I'm curious because I might get something completely different out of it. That's the fun of it! I'm hoping to expand my views. (Message edited by Sean_Of_Detroit on June 03, 2008) |

I know this is off topic, but isn't that Docker's commercial "California Soul" a nice break from the usual commercials - Marlena Shaw sounds great! |

I need to get the Monkees show on DVD. I can't imagine anything cooler. I meant as in Gawd Pam, I wish I were listening to that too. I loved the Monkees with my entire little heart and soul back in the day. |

Yardbirds. This is a really cool video. Page and Beck, the music is Train Kept a Rollin, which they also covered, but the lyrics are different here. Song is called Stroll On. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =jSJGEn4FDys |

Bob Geldof - the Happy Club "room 19" it cracks me up because of its ironic use of the "i'm a believer" vox organ bit |
