"in the tank"

Used by people on a particular side (usually an extreme one) of the political spectrum in reference to news outlets when those news outlets report information that makes their candidate look bad. Often used when owning up and admitting to facts is just to difficult, or in vain attempts at saving face.

"All our thoughts and prayers go out to..."

It is presumptuous for a newscaster or anyone to assume that the general population is praying for someone in need, or prays at all, for that matter.

Speakers should speak only for themselves.

Strictly from an engineer's perspective, Django, both designs have weight distribution issues that affect handling in the corners. But nice finish, eh?

Wash_man
------------------------------ -------------------
"ACTUALLY"

So overused and it really means nothing. It can be eliminated from most sentences without altering the meaning. Makes my skin crawl when I hear it so much. I recently heard a host on HGTV say: "We are actually going to take out this old tile and we are actually going to install new tile." WTF? See my point? "I was driving down the road when I actually saw the car roll over."
--------------------

Wash_man, I'm so happy to find that someone else notices the overuse of this word! It hits me like a brick over the head every time someone uses it unnecessarily. Make them stop!

In reference to remodeling/redecorating: the house has good bones, bring the outside in, and the house will tell you what it needs.

It makes me crazy.

Curb Appeal

Curves are merely rounded pieces of concrete and unless you are Polish and paint them red, have no inherent appeal.

Meijers or Wal-Marts or adding an s to the end of every department store.

Irregardless

Drowning Death

Electrocution Death

Dead body

Not so much words, but I get a feeling of rage when I see someone driving a convertable with the top down and the windows rolled up. Or someone that wears a long sleeved shirt and shorts. Either you're hot or cold. Pick one asshole.

I've got a ton more, but not enough time. Stand by for more rage.

I've won quite a bit of coffee money challenging people to spell "Irregardless" correctly.

"What's wrong with the Polish? Larry?"

I'm Polish. And to prove that, I subconsciously typed "Curve" which is technically correct in Anglo-Polish.=)

No they paint the curB red to match the driveway. All good. House with Bricks. Pay cash. American Dream.

I had a girlfriend once that said "Escape Goat".
And at first I laughed each time.
But then, I thought, "well maybe that is more descriptive. Who am I to say?"

I've never encountered that phenomenon. Their driveway is red? I guess that you could also also add those that glue the fake grass to their porch and steps, but there's no word for it.

Nice broken English by the way.
