Why is it so many right wing nut neo-cons, who adamently support the 'free market' and are so strongly against government involvement in funding for poverty, education, health care and just about everything else, support and encourage government funding of faith based inititatives and religion and push for government involvement in abortion? Is this funding and intervention outside the purview of the 'free market'? Does it not count as part of the 'free market'? Cc, your up. |

Simple. They are hypocrates catering to their faithfull base. This reminds me of the right-wing bumper stickers that pop up every election season. They read, Protect Freedom, Elect (fill in the right-wing name). This from the party that passed legislation that limits our civil liberties and allows our government to spy on it's citizens without a warrant. And don't forget their stance social issues such as pot use, abortion, and the death with dignity crowd. |
