First off, let me say that Charlie Batch is doing a pretty decent job filling in for Roethlisburger [and I hate that they call him Big Ben]. Koy Detmer's set to start for PHI, but if Mike McMahon gets any time . . and does good . . . man. OK down to business: DAL favored by 8, O/U: 39 Dallas' win against Philly might have been a save, but the Boys are looking damn good through the first half of the season, and look to keep their momentum going against the Lions. Playing a Monday night game before and a Thursday game later might take a toll on their stamina, especially with 5 hard games after the Leo game (DEN, at NYG, KC, at WAS, at CAR). A win against Arizona doesn't necessarily gain optimism.. unless you're Joey Harrington. He had a great game, and most fans have accepted him all over again, but not Mooch. Garcia is the starter, if that leg can ever heal up again. Until then, Joey will have to do his best to convince the team that he can handle the pressure. Running looks to get hit hard, courtesy of the front 7 of the Cowboys. I'd love to believe in 'em, but they might have their hopes up about being Arizona. They're looking for a rude awakening here. DET 13 DAL 24 GO PISTONS!!! |

Parcells will outcoach Mooch. Their D Line is much better than 'Zonas and will eat Jones and Harrington alive. No run, pressured passes. Dallas 38, Detroit 10. |

I'm predicting the Lions have a good first half and will be up by 10, they'll add 3 in the 3rd and be up 13. Lions fans will start to feel really good at about this point and are thinking to themselves "we're gonna get this one" Then, the Lions allow 2 quick touchdowns and are down by 1, never to get back in it. Joey then throws an INT on each following drive, crashing every viewers' hopes. To parphrase Rip Hamilton, it's just the way we do it. |

Key points. Offensive players seem to want to play now.. I Know AZ made it easy, but perhaps Roy Williams is developing a much needed chip on his shoulder where he wants to prove his mad skillz. The Defense matches up with the Cowboys offense decently enough. That being said, Lions 14 Dallas 24 |

30-13 Dallas. Why would Mooch say he may go with his bum-buddy Garcia when Garcia isn't 100%? I guess creating a QB controversy will continue to light a fire under Joey's butt. But as stated endlessly, with no O-line Detroit won't go anyway regardless of what QB you have. |

I see Super's back in the kitchen with handfuls of cornbread tins again. I dunno about this one though. As much as I'd like to think the lads can pull it off, Dallas just seems to have our number even back in the days when we were a Fontes led powerhouse (slight sarcasm inserted). |

For at least the past 10 years, I know they are going to loose the game on any given Sunday. When they actually do win, I am pleasantly surprised. If you think of them as an idiot brother-in-law then you will not be disappointed. |

What's up wit' Jason Hanson. Their guy kicks a 56 yarder, we miss a 45 yarder___ And also the Lions choose to punt instead of trying a 52 yarder. This guy has never kicked a meaningful field goal___ ever! He's soft just like Joey, Mooch, Millen, and Rory the Lion! 'Goat' stated about Joey , "....There is progress..." Yeah a typical modest game with what should of been 1 pick and 1 fumble, and constantly under threw long pass routes..... yeah that's progress....Joey is a nice guy and that's it! He reminds me of Chad Henning. Under pressure they are no good. We need a entire new attitude here in Lions country___ get rid of bubbles the Lion, that soft blue color, Rory the Lion, Dirty-up Ford Field a little, and just get flat-out nasty.... no that's a Detroit attitude. The Cornbread batter has officially been flushed down the toilet!(cry'n) super d(motordetroit) |

Super)d, Hanson is considered one of the best kickers in the league. Not sure what you are crying about? The Lions' beat themselves with those penalties. The pick wasn't a pick due to another penalty, so it is a moot point. Take alook at this completion percentage this game. Still improved! Don't forget that the Lion's are still missing a few key players...this could (as usual) have been a win. BTW: Detroit was playig with a lot of heart and they sure did play rough. Just not sure of the play calls..C. Rogers not used until the 4th quarter? Geez, Mooch is to soft and too conservative. Bye, bye Mooch. |

They might be asking for a WHOLE lot more than they can get from his contract. Sure, it might be because he's a wash at WR and doesn't look motivated at all. I'm sure there's a clause in his contract about not "smokin the doob", and the Lions might get a few million back. As for the game, I didn't watch, as I was locked into my Raw vs Smackdown. After watching the recap, there's still a major problem getting the offense moving down the field. I still think there'll be a big change in the off-season. BTW, did anyone see IND vs CIN? |

They will not be able to get anything from Rogers, unless there is something very different in his contract than there are from the others out there. He was injured for 2 years and suspended for 4 games this year. Never heard of being able to get your money back because a player was injured or fined. BTW: All of the balls thrown to Rogers were caught and key catches. I believe 3 out of the four were first down passes. |

Super_d, if we ever needed concrete proof you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about with football, you just served it up on a silver platter. There is a reason his nickname is Automatic. He has played well for many years and is struggling with an injury this year. I didn't see much of the game, but from what I saw, Joey seemed confident and there was actually some decent pass protection. It appears the Cowboys chose coverage over rush. Which is keeping with Parcells comments all week that he was nervous about their receiving corps. If that is the case, why did Mooch not have a better run plan? Parcells told everyone what he was gonna do. So Jones gets 12 touches? WTF was up with all the defensive offsides. This loss was pure coaching. He couldn't keep his troops in line and he couldn't come up with anything better offensively. |

I did Czar. Like they said on FOX, "He fits in a lot better with PHI than he did with DET". He definately did a good job and should get the starting nod if/when McNabb goes in for surgery. |

Don't get over excited about McMahon. His pass percentage was about 44%. If Joey threw as many balls as McMahon he too would have had the same number of yards. |

I tuned in for a few minutes just in time to see some vintage McMahon spirals sailing over receivers heads and through end zones. They did place a lot of faith in him with all those attempts, that's for sure. |

It will be interesting to see how he does against a lesser team, the Packers, this week. He started off poorly yesterday but made some plays in the second half. |
