I finally got my slide scanner set up and have begun scanning boxes of slides. Here's a few from a Pistons' game in March or April 1974, a season in which the Pistons went 52-30 and lost to the Bulls in the playoffs. In this game, they played the Buffalo Braves (later becoming the Clippers). Notable Pistons were 16-Bob Lanier, 21-Dave Bing, 18-Curtis Rowe, 10-Don Adams, 8-Willie Norwood, 42-Chris Ford, 31-George Trapp.

Why is it that the guys back then look so lean? Today's NBA players look muscular.

Great pics Jiminnm.....I remember sitting in the student section behind the backboards for several games during that era. Tickets were dirt cheap, and the whole school would go on the bus to Cobo. I was only 13 when I saw my first game, and spent half the game marveling at how huge Bob Lanier was in person.
