The subject pretty much speaks for itself. My friend called me asking if I knew a place, but my mind drew a blank. Basically looking for Buffalo, Ostrich or Vennison meat.

Thx for any help

IF you can't find what you're looking for in Detroit, check the Hiller's store out in Southfield near Northland. They should have what you're looking for.

You might want to contact the eastern market merchant's association.

http://www.easternmarket.org

If it exists, they might know.

I get my venison from the source :-)

I've bought frozen beefalo from the AA farmer's market.

Go to RJ's in gratiot centeral market, they have just about everything or you can try embassy , which is right in the market off winder, you would probably have to order it in advance from embassy.

There was also a meat shop with exotics, that I noticed just this fall, at EMkt in the block between Hirts and Cost Plus Wine Shop. I got some really interesting smoked fish sausage and noticed the venison.

Holiday Market in Royal Oak carries some of the meats you're looking for.

Phew...for a minute there I thought this thread was about a new singles bar at Eastern Market.
