Now that the season is finally and mercifully done with, who is worthy to be considered the Lion of the Year and why?

My selection is for Nick Harris, the punter. Part of my choice is that the Lions were so bad offensively and he was about their most consistent performer on either side of the ball.

Granted his tackling skills in the last game versus Pittsburgh leave a little something to be desired.

hmmm, let me think about this.

Scotty Vines. No other player played above expectations. In fact, most played well below. For that reason alone, he is my pick for Lion of the year.

That's not a bad pick, he and the punter are probably the only ones who didn't underachieve.

Scotty Vines for a guy who wasn't even on the roster at the beginning of the season is a great pick. And Nick Harris were shoo-ins. We could name Mooch for getting canned- at least his conservative play calling did have a huge impact upon the games we saw.

Do I get credit for correctly predicting the 5-11 record within a day of witnessing the presaeson game against the Rams?

It was about this time last year that I predicted our offensive line was going to be very offensive. Mr. Dobrich vouched for my prediction at that time.

I was trying to dig out the predictions thread. I believe I had them at 7-9, way too optimistic.

Skulker- for coming up with the correct prediction on the Lions record, we're gonna name you Lion of the Year. Fair enough?

No insult meant! But admittedly you did nail the prediction... now can you help me with some numbers for the Powerball Lottery...?
