A little lite on the Motown type artist. Seems like Art Eats & Beats retread to me. |

So what if they were re-treads (it's not like they're Lions coaching prospects). As long as the music is good and the entertainment is good, I think it'll be a great time. If it even came remotely close to what last year's Winter Blast, I think people will have a great time. I thought it was one of the best events put on in Detroit in a long while. It was a great family event! |

It sure won't feel like a winterblast if it continues to be 40 and rainy. Im actually hoping it returns to the 20's and we get pounded with some snow again before February rolls around |

Amen to that Knocturnal! Quit with these warm spells and don't give us these annoying dustings of snow. If it's gonna snow, let's get dumped upon! |

I think they've lined up most of the local artists that need to be showcased. Except for the Dirtbombs and Cobras (but they never seem to play festivals). |

Super bowl visitor here... Sounds like the those here like the Blast band lineup! I had a feeling that these bands were local bands - and was curious if there are any "don't miss" acts in that batch. The positive comments here are encouraging. Any more details? They might be old hat to you, but not to me I have also read that there will be one more stage lineup announced with national acts (three stages announced yesterday, national stage announcement to come). |

Great lists, Skulker!! Dave and I are looking forward to spending time at the Winter Blast as there are a number of groups that we will see. One of my personal faves is Black Merda!! And stay tuned for the Winter Blast announcements for the "national" acts. So far, Kem is the only performer announced in that category. One of last year's highlights for me was ? and the Mysterians. What a show!!! |

Even my boyfriend who hates everything (edit: he hates everything I like, he doesn't hate everything)likes them... (Message edited by susanarosa on January 05, 2006) |
