The Sun! :-)

Call off the suicide watches; we are getting our first sunshine of 2006 and first sunny day since Dec. 16.

Long bouts of sunlessness start to get to me after a week or so, but once I get past that point it simply fades into the back of my mind.

It was so funny to see the local news do an entire story on the sun returning. It was so hilarious. What was even funnier was that most people said that they didn't even really care, if even they noticed that it was back. It's always good to see it, but living here all my life I've learned to accept it. lol

WJR interrupted its AM-drive program and used the standard ABC-type news bulletin this morning when the sun first appeared.

Truly a sight for sore eyes!!!

Everybody was talking about it in the lunchroom at work!! And I made sure I got out of the office early enough to see some sun on the drive home.

And you guys wonder why I retired to Las Vegas.

I thought we had some clouds last week, but on closer inspection they turned out to be aircraft vapor trails going to and from LAX. :-)

Drankin, the ball went around and around, and landed in 22, black. You should have called that one. After all, that was the number in "Casablanca" that Rick had the kid from Bulgaria put his money on with the rigged wheel, and it also was the number that Robert Redford blew his stolen wad on in "The Sting".

Oh, well.

I'll add on to Ray's comment, this is one of the major reasons I'm now in New Mexico - where it is most rare not to see the sun.
