I've reviewed all of the "sublets/temporary" listings in Detroit Craigslist and learned that West Bloomfield, Commerce Township and something called, "Oakland Township" are a convenient 20 minute drive from downtown Detroit. Livonia, Ann Arbor and Brighton are also just a convenient 20 minute drive from downtown Detroit. Detroit itself is nothing but wickness and sin at every corner. Do not stay there. Instead, why not rent a private residence at 23 Mile and Gratiot, just a convenient 20 minute drive from downtown Detroit. Based purely on the Craigslist postings, I've rendered a map of the metro area.

Slick trick, Jeff. Nicely rendered, indeed! You earn a solid grin with that tiny Toledo box and its Axis of Evil neighbor. Bit o' extra time on your hands? Trouble sleeping? Thanks for the cool graphic. |

Fantastic map Itsjeff. maybe instead of showing corktown is about 1.1 mile from Campus Martius we can start to claim it is "in the shadow of ford field"... to late for me to rent my fabulous corktown palace for tens of thousands hmmm???? |

Heh, heh. The way some people drive around here it might take them 20 mins to get downtown. |

I tried to rent an apartment I own in the DIA area out to a Superbowl visitor and because it was not walking distance NOR in the CBD, the impression people had was that they would pretty much be killed in that area. |

WOOOOO I have a super luxurious loft! My downstairs neighbors are trying to rent their floor out for 35K, (hold on, i must contain my laughter.) Rotting fruit + carcasses = the lap of plush luxury! I wonder if I should call my place the "penthouse suite" and try and get 50K. (Perhaps I'll leave out the 6 floor walk up part and that the bathroom and sink is out in the hallway...) |

I can't wait to see the faces of all of the pissed visitors who arrive here and realise really how far away they are from the action. I guess they will be all safe in their cars in the bumper to bumper 2 hr traffic to get into the city :-) |

Yeah, Jeff, that really sucks. It's totally not accurate. It looks like Orlando. |

I'll be using that map as I drive up tonight. As it stands, I think I am going to cut through the Axis of Evil while avoiding Big Giant Morgue to get to where I am going. Should work fine though. |
