Perhaps you work in downtown Detroit and have a gorgeous view ...

Perhaps you live in midtown Detroit and have a gorgeous view ...

Whichever the case may be, Detroit is looking stunning as we head into Superbowl week.

'Tis the perfect timing to take out that camera and share with us what you have enjoyed seeing day in and day out at work or at home .....

Steelworker: Any pics to share from your window view in Midtown of the city ?

I am hoping that someone working in the Ren-Cen or the Guardian or living in Lafayette Towers or anywhere else to share some snapshots of Detroit.

Peanut_breath: Awesome view there of Campus Martius Park. It looks like One Woodward has excellent window views. Thanks, Peanut_breath.

This alone should be good motivation to work and live in downtown Detroit.

We have all read stories about the former restaurant "Top of the flame" that occupied the top of One Woodward. This was "The Summit" pre Ren-Cen.

Why not a revival? That place would be classic Detroit.

I heard that the roof top dining idea is kind of out of vogue so to speak these days - I personally like it.

Thanks. I've been a chronic lurker but didn't actually live in the city until last weekend. I felt now that I live in the City I am keeping it real. :-)

Anyway, I love living in the city. I go to bed (and wake up) with that view out my window - I can see all the way from the Rencen down to Zug island. Simply beautiful.

Yeah, the Belcrest. So far so good! The building/apartment is in great shape, the rent is reasonable, and the management has been wonderful!

Way better than living in some cookie cutter place out in Farmington Hills....

Haydenth please don't ever use that term "keeping it real". We already have one person that works extremely hard to "keep it real" and one is really enough.

Look out for the hijinkx tha the Belcrest Management will try to pull when you need repairs or your security deposit back. I lived there for two years and had to threaten with a law suit to get back a 300 dollar chunk of my deposit and also had to call the manager Mike every day for a week streight to get my sink fixed properly.

The apartments were huge though and while a student the proximity to campus was the best.

A structure in the back lot would have been nice though.

Ndavies: What you have there are absolutely gorgeous views ! Of the Ambassador Bridge, of Windsor and of Hart Plaza. No, they don't have to be new - just have to be picturesque !! :-)

Hey, Haydenth. If you ever see a few assholes playing football in the grassy area behind your parking lot that's me and my friends! I am in the mort. sci. building all day, everday so we try to get some fresh air everyonce in a while.

Out the one window in the mort. sci. building I can see all of New Center including Lee Plaza. I don't feel like taking a picture through a window though. They never turn out for me.
