Did they remove the basement floor and walls or just fill it in? |

More than likely, more parking. However, during a presentation to the HDC, the DEGC testified that several developers had expressed an interest in developing the site as soon as it's cleared. We'll soon know how accurate that assertion was.

The contract between Homrich and MDEQ called for removal of the basement floor as well all contaminated soil beneath it. |

They could have easily made it a parking lot, but have chosen to leave it an empty, grassed lot. That seems to point more towards redevelopment as a structure. I'd guess the first proposal we will see will be something of probably 4 stories, though. lol Remember when the city was courting TV station, and they offered up a bogus plan for something like a 3-4 story building on the Monroe Block? That was like a slap in the face. |

Assuming the BC deal goes well, I wonder what Ferchill’s next Top Secret Detroit project may be? |

I like the UA alot better than the Statler. I'm not too crazy about that kind of hotel architecture, although the building itself had history in it. I'm glad the UA is still standing. |

Motor City ParkingPlex. There will be shuttle bus service from the ParkingPlex so that you don't have to walk anywhere. |
