623Kraw, I said the same thing about the Row Houses on John R and Adelaid. Those places turned out to be incredible.

While I am a fan for saving as many of these buildings as possible, I just have to wonder who will be able to afford to finish the restoration of these HUGE homes. Heat and cooling a 5ksqft - 8ksqft home is outragious as it is... Add in up-keep, furniture, etc... Only someone with serious Benjamins could afford to live there, solely.

I love this building and will be very interested to see it's future use...

DD - I have to agree, however, if they do it like the rowhouses, heating will be very affordable, as all the work will be modern and very efficient. I would not be surpriesed if this ends up having two or more units inside.

Single familiy use doesn't seem to be a practical rehab possibilty, at least from a financial p.o.v.
