Biggest winner - Detroit. We put on a great show, and impressed the world. Hopefully, we even impressed some of the locals and they will be more likely to venture south of eight mile. Congratulations to the Steelers, and especially to the newly retired Bus! |

Wel, it was a good season, a good ride, but we blew it, the Steelers didn't. Congratulations to the Rooney family and the Pittsburg Steelers. |

The Seahawks played just like Windoz runs. They started off great, then started slowing down for no reason. Looked like a resource problem, insufficent memory. But rather then rebooting, they continued on. At 1/2 time, they missed downloading a critical upgrade, in the end they finaly got the blue screen of death. The Steelers are Unix all the way baby. /leery of things from Washington. |

There were some bad calls in this game, but I'm still glad the Steelers were able to win. Congrats to the Bus |

At the end of the first quarter, I would have bet the farm that Seattle was on its way to a blowout. Glad I didn't!! The real winner of this game was the City of Detroit. I'll bet on that. |

That's right, Motorcitymayor! I think we made alot of friends with Pittsburgh people! They seemed to have a good time at winterfest and in our bars, and they made a great memory here tonight. Perhaps they'll come back again just for fun. The city could not have looked more exciting and full of action than it did with those aerial shots during the game with all of the spotlights and colored lighting effects. And it wasn't just smoke and mirrors, as we all know, it was a fantastic week downtown. |

What's even funnier is that you heard no press about him this week, probably to not embarrass the Fords and get the 'Fire Millen' thing going again. |

OK, the Seahawks and Holmgren bitching about "blown calls" have really made me dislike the ethos of their organization. 1. It was offensive pass interference, plain and simple. Jackson pushed off on the defender and if you watch the defender in the replays, you will see his forward motion stop and him struggle somewhat to regain balance. He was absolutely prevented from making a play on the ball which he clearly would have been able to do had Jackson not pushed off. The ref was pulling the flag out of his pocket before Jackson complete the catch. The argument that he only threw the flag after pleading is utter hogwash. He saw the foul and made the right call. 2. Straight on side line view clearly show the first 3 inches or so of the ball breaking the front plane of the line on the Roethlisberger keeper. No question that is a touch down. 3. Locklear had been beat by the pass rusher, had an arm up around his neck and shoulder from behind. Clearly holding and the right call to make. 4. The only legitimate beef was the wrong call on the chop block by Hasselbeck. All that did was add fifteen yards to an interception return. The Seahawks caught a lucky break or two themselves. Porter barely brushed Hasselbeck with his hand while Hasslebeck was diving and before any part of his body hit the ground, thus negating a fumble. The right call to make but very lucky for Seattle. Half an inch more and its Pittsburg ball. |

Whether you think the calls were blown or not (IMO that Roethlisberger TD WAS short, but it wouldaa been 4th and inches anyway, right? ... hello Bettis ... likely TD anyway) ... the Seahawks squandered essentially 3 opportunities to control the ball at the end of the half and the end of the game (shit that clock management looked like something the Lions would do, not a superbowl caliber team in the biggest game of their franchise ...) ... so crying "we was robbed" kinda rings hollow ... |

Looks like the press doesn't really care if other cities break into riot following a championship... http://www.pittnews.com/vnews/ display.v/ART/2006/02/09/43eaf 78624810 -And I do believe that at least two overturned cars, people hanging from street signs, people ripping out street signs, kicked over garbage cans, ripped down storefront canopies and burning miscellaneous materials in the middle of the street qualify as “a wild or turbulent disturbance.”- |
