Anyone running the Corktown Races this weekend? It's looking to be a nice Sunday.

It's on my calendar, so I hope to be there. It'll be interesting to run a new route.

I follow the route but my best time is four or five hours, picking up liquid refreshments at the establishments along the way tends to slow me down quite a bit. :-)

I will be there along with a group of friends. The new route is great they started it last year. The old route was sort of a drag, except for the part where you ran by the main corktown area twice. But anyways it is always a blast especially the parade and post drinking afterwards. Tell all your friends. Ever since I have been going since '98 I have a group of around 30 that I have gotten addicted to one of the best drinking fests in detroit, next to opening day.
Drink up all.....

I will be there...with kids.

The oldest will do the 4 mile...the younger ones the quarter mile... they have changed the course...do you still get a Guiness as you cross the line?

Finally ran my first outdoors jog of the year yesterday...from Eastern Market to the River, through Hart Plaza then home...so I think I'm trained enough for a mid-day run with Guinness at the end.

Can't wait.

Sport? Where are ya, man? Time to get Panson off yer butt about never actually running...

I would post all my previous corktown medals.. but.. you know.

That's a great race. I have not done the new course. It sounds even better. Loved the beer fest at the end. I never expected that so you can imagine my pleasant surprise.
