Looks and sounds promising, but my poor eyesight couldn't make out most of the renderings.

From what I took from it, the conservancy isn't planning on connecting the Hart Plaza and Ren Cen ends of the riverwalk this year. Although it wasn't clear, so I might be wrong. However, bridging that gap seems like an easy step that would really enhance the riverwalk. Anyone know why that gap hasn't been finished?

Actually, it states that "East will meet west" in mid 2006.

Although elsewhere it does appear to contradict that statement.

There are two small gaps in that area. One being between the GM Plaza/Ren Cen area and Bates Street Outfall which has been planned but not started. It is the old Enterprise car lot. The other is between the Bates Street Outfall and Hart Plaza and is the parking lot for the police substation under Hart Plaza which has not been planned for as far as I know. Both stretches are very short.

The Bates Street platform will provide the long-awaited linkage between GM and Hart Plaza by mid-year 2006; east will meet west.

I am not sure if the "platform" is part of the riverwalk or not.

That area won't be completed until the terminal is completed.
