While walking through the rain this morning to work (ah-choo!), I noticed that a glass window at the BRAND NEW parking deck with CVS was smashed; the glass already swept up and the opening covered with plastic. Most of the merchandise looked to still be there, so it must've been about money. I saw a worker by the cash register, looking not too stressed, as if this was bound to happen. I didn't bother to stick around to ask questions.

Are you sure it was broken into? It could have been a random act of vandalism. Happens in downtown Windsor every weekend with the drunken hordes leaving the bars. That testosterone has to be expelled somehow...

You'll have that when you have 19 year old Canadians drinking. KEEP THAT SCHITT IN WINDSOR!

I know those Windsor nude bars are pretty good and I've heard the expression "a hardon that could cut glass" but wow! Yay Detroit! ... Oh, Canada!

That same store was hit last Thursday. The door on State was smashed.

What's for sale in the store? I read at freep.com that they sold out quickly and closed early...

They're still there, and broken into again. 3 windows in two places this time. I don't think this is vandalism anymore.

The windows on the store have been broken about 4 to 5 times the last 3 weeks.

This is just absurd... we're getting RAPIDLY back to where we were before any of the SBXL planning even.

It makes keeping a positive outlook nearly impossible. DPD is, once again, a joke.

More police=less crime. What's the first thing the city gov't cut? Police. It doesn't matter what anyone invests in downtown, midtown or in the neighbourhoods. If it's not being looked after it will be destroyed and the city will be back to square one. This goes for any city, anywhere.
