No plans that I know of. There are many great looking buildings for sale just west of Corktown along Michigan Ave. Lots of potential, just not alot of buyers willing to take the gamble. Just curious, what's your interest in the area jfried? (Message edited by chub on March 13, 2006) (Message edited by chub on March 13, 2006) |

I've noticed all the great buildings you mentioned... The city/state has invested tons of cash in the Corktown streetscape, and farther west on MI near Dearborn, so I was just wondering if anyone knows what's happening in the middle. |

You may try the GCDC (Greater Corktown Develp Corporation). I suspect that they would know the most about it. Their website is: http://www.corktowndetroit.org /2005/about.html I am not certain but I am guessing that they are a great source of knowledge for everything in the area. |

Awhile back on the Detroit Free Press when the city show a SuperBowl downtown makeover map, Michigan Ave and Gd.River (near downtown) will have new streetscapes.I don't know when the city is going to start on it. |
