I was looking at my copy of Detroit Then and Now last night and could not believe how much the city has changed since that book was published in 2001. That was around the same time I moved down here I have seen some amazing changes in just a few years. It is also intresting to read the captions about the future plans for some of the buildings that... actually happened...Kales ect. Check out the Opera House now picture and look at the Opera house Broadway facade now...

Your'e right...whenever I look at that book I can see SO many changes to the city, its amzing. When you put it in perspective, Detroit has come a hell of along way in the last 5 years.

It has to be a one of the most dramatic 5 year periods of change in the history of the City.
