Was the previous thread, but it has been closed. I finally made it over to the Calumet shop in the 300 tower (by the Winter Garden) in the Ren Cen. The selection of cigars (though not huge) was excellent. They carried the following brands that I can remember:

Punch
Cao
Romeo Juliet
Fuente
Partagas

No Drew Estate. No Brazlia CAO. The prices ranged from $3.50 (short punchs) to some pretty pricey sticks. Just a handful of boxes. They carried some cigarillo tins for around 12 bucks which I think is reasonable. A good mix, and the prices were comprable to other cigar stores locally. I thought they'd try to hump people in the ass because they were in that location. They are open on Saturdays until 6pm? (313) 259-1122. They also have a small selection of wine.

Also see this article from a year ago.

I while back I went to Walter's Pipe Shop. Don't waste your time, unless you really really need a smoke. The stock was old as hell (you can tell by the dust) which isn't really a problem if it were well humidified (which it isn't). Lot's of "Bundle" type cigars they were trying to pass off for $3 - $4 dollar sticks.

Calumet is open until 7pm Mon - Saturday. Everyone thinks that all of us here in the Ren Cen are automatically going to be over-priced. Not the case, the rents aren't outrageous.

Agreed Naturalsister, my leather Winter Gloves are from Sam's Tailor Shop. I lost the first pair and went back and bought another.

I remembered that Vizion, That's why I made specific note of it for you. They do carry the Brazilia counterparts (I think the Italia?).

Nat: If you don't mind, what location are you at?
