According to reporter, Greg Cote of the Miami Herald,
"Pat Riley has become incresingly frustrated that Miami contines to deal with injuries while the rival Detroit Pistons remain the picture of health."

"So, The Heat hired an advance scout to watch the rest of the Pistons games. Tonya Harding will get as close as she can to the action."

jjaba, all the news.

That's why Arnie Kander are worth their weight in gold. Arnie keeps that Pistons machine humming along smoothly without too many hiccups.

Anybody got a recent picture of Tonya Harding? She bulked up as a prize fighter and then really bulked up now.

I'd pay good money to see TH try to skate at her present weight. I wonder how strong her ankles are?

I'm guessing she's trying to eat her way on to Celebrity Fit Club.

Sorry Coach Riley!! That's the way the NBA players go. You may get a 7 foot giant but it ended up tumble and fall. You get a best point guard from the draft or from the trade, but it can slip up and miss some shots in the basket. The Pistons were striving by Coach Sanders to make the best as they can be by nthe power of teamwork and confidence. The Pistons coach can turn of a any NBA beachwarmer into a pro by getting a player to believe in itself. And that's the main reason that the Pistons win so many games.

Arnie Kander- fitness guru for the Pistons. He's the guy that keeps them healthy as can be. He's supposedly got some of the most unorthodox techniques around but it seems to work pretty well. Not sure if anyone remembers but when Grant Hill left town, he wanted Arnie to go with him and pay him a small fortune to go along. Loyal guy that he is, Arnie stuck around here.

If Pat Riley & the Heat can't find a regimen for his guys to stay healthy, then the responsibility falls on them. Stay in shape- the NBA season isn't a sprint, it's a marathon.

The Pistons starters are low risk players__ that is to say,(other than 'Rip' who runs 'off picks' around the perimeter and is free from much contact) they don't have many high flying, slashers, or penetrating style 'ballers'... ie Iverson, Wade, Carter, etc., that are susceptible or prone to injury.

The Pistons starters lack the overall skills of most superior athletic players__ but they make-up for that through their high intellectual understanding of body-physics.

That could be a reason.

And y'know what? If there's a little luck involved with no twisted ankles, minor body tweaks and other little nagging injuries happening to the Pistons, then so be it. You still have to have team depth, a solid system, motivated players and some team chemistry in order to win it all.

Also to keep with Super D's post the Pistons don't have one guy that has to go apeshit and carry the whole team, like AI or Douche Wade or Shlaq. They all have a roll that is custom for their style. It's so nice to have a good team in town other than one under the evil Ilitch Empire. I must say that the Pistons defenitly make me proud. {sheds a tear}

'Smogboy' every team goes thru those minor injuries. Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace played thru November and December with strained lower calf muscle injuries

Then too, Remember when the Pistons played 'Jersey' in the ECF 3years back, Chauncey played limited time with a leg injury.

I think the only luck involved ,is that they have a group of players like I previously commented on.

The style of players the Pistons are fortunate to have, risk less serious injury.

www.miamiherald.com

Look for Greg Cote.

Today he thinks Dwyane Wade is MVP and Joey Harrington is going to sign with Miami Dolphins.
