I saw this article:

http://www.nysun.com/article/3 0243

And I thought to myself:

What can Detroit do to help attract immigrants?
Should it?
What do we do well? What do we do poorly?
How many immigrants to Detroit become invested in the city, and how many hope to move out when they can?

I don't think anybody can deny that Detroit of the 1920s was like NY almost always has been with respect to immigration. I also don't think you can deny how much immigration has helped most of SW Detroit, and East Dearborn.

Immigrants have a habit of being attracted to jobs.
