Lately the bumb situation around Wayne State has gotten bad. They are everywhere and have been ruder and more persistent than ever. So a friend and I decided what better way to get rid of this problem then bumb hunting! The city can offer 1,000 a pop to get rid of some of these ruthless bastards. Sure theres a few classic ones (Larry the drummer or the mean bitch in a wheelchair by the magic stick') but then theres hardcore assholes who probably aren't bumbs but just professional panhandlers. 1,000 bucks a pop clean these dirty streets up. IF Wayne wants to be considered a first class organization, getting rid of bumbs and crime on campus could be a good start. Oh and police... well we all know how far they have gotten us.

"IF Wayne wants to be considered a first class organization, getting rid of bumbs and crime on campus could be a good start."

If Wayne were able to get rid of "bumbs" and crime on campus, they'd be more than a "first class organization", they'd be the only college campus to accomplish that.

I don't think the bum situation around Wayne State is that bad, it hasn't gotten any worse in the past 5 years. What I can't stand are the freaks who stand in Gullen Mall with some agenda to push. Usually it's those Lyndon LaRouche nut jobs, but I've also seen Scientologists trying to lure fresh recruits in with their "free stress test" which always indicates that you are extremely stressed and in dire need of "Dianetics" by L. Ron Hubbard. I'll take the homeless over those cultists any day of the week.

Let's see, there's also been the Buddhists who offer you a free flower or prayer book and THEN ask for a donation (which you then feel obliged to give them since they've already "given" you something, pretty shrew scam artists those Buddhists!) Actually I think the least annoying are the Christians. They don't hassle you for money or conversion, they just station themselves all over campus and pass out little green Bibles once a year.

There you go again, Chitaku...:-)

What is this "bumb" you speak of? Is he or she an upscale, sophisticated bum on the go? BTW, last time I checked, most crimes on campus are committed by students against students. But, it's always easier to scapegoat the homeless, huh? Get real.

The people who hate are always the first ones to spew the same old tired premise. If XYZ is ever gonna be a world class ABC then they have to get rid of D thru Z. Even if your complaints were corrected you would find something else to complain about. Whiny little bitches.

The word "bum" is politically incorrect. The correct terminology is now "Financially and Hygenically Challenged." Get with the times.

I believe WSU offers remedial reading, so there is hope. It appears they also need to offer remedial social consciousness courses as well.

Why, when I read hate like this, do those horrific security camera videos of those brats in Florida beating a homeless man flash through my mind?

This is not the Pink Panther; this is Clockwork Orange.

I heard through the grapvine that Chitaku is harboring Bumbs at his house, and providing aid and comfort to the enemy. I propose a full-scale assualt on Chitaku's home, as he will not let municipal inspectors into all areas of his house.

Those po-folks and mutants will always come back to the Cass Corridor. But there's way to keep the po-folks population down in Detroit. GIVE THEM WORK, GIVE THEM MEDICAL AND PSYCHIATRIC CARE, GIVE THEM FOOD, GIVE THEM MONEY, GIVE THEM AFFORDABLE HOUSING And then they would say thank you and God bless.

Homeless Man Returns Wallet With $900

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) -- A homeless man searching through garbage bins for recyclable cans found a missing wallet and had it returned to its owner.

Kim Bogue, who works as a janitor in the city's government buildings, realized that her wallet was missing last week and doubted she'd ever get back the $900 and credit cards inside, she said.

"I prayed that night and asked God to help me," said Bogue, who was saving the money for a trip to her native Thailand.

Days later, a homeless man found the wallet wrapped in a plastic bag in a trash bin, where Bogue had accidentally thrown it away with her lunch. He gave it to Sherry Wesley, who works in a nearby building.

"He came to me with the wad of money and said, 'This probably belongs to someone that you work with, can you return it,'" Wesley said.

Workers at a nearby relief kitchen said the man, who didn't want to be identified, insists on paying for his food.

"He has a very good heart," said Bogue, who gave the man a $100 reward. "If someone else found it, the money would be gone."

Chitaku,

If you check the Downriver Yellow Pages, you can find a few good taxidermists. Your grandchildren will really enjoy the stories about how you got those "trophies".

"Suzie, that head over there was one of the most frightening things I ever faced. He came up behind me and asked me for money to buy some food. I knew if I showed fear, I was lost. I looked him in the chest and mumbled 'Sorry, man, can't help you.' I thought he swore at me, so I shot him.
