Anyone know any good places to buy organic food in town other than Trader joes? GP included?

There are two Whole Foods Markets in the 'burbs, one in Troy at Maple & Coolidge, the other one is in Farmington, forget the crossroads.

Regrettably the Cass Corridor Food Coop closed a couple of years back after a run of about 30 years.

the whole foods in farmington is at 14 mile and orchard lake.

not sure if nino salvaggio's is considered organic, but there are a few detroit area locations for that as well. same with westborn market, located across from trader joes on woodward and on michigan avenue in dearborn.

or if the burbs are too far, you can try your local eastern market, almost positive i have seen vendors who tout their items as organic.

I was thinking Eastern Market, I can go as far out as the Grosse Pointes, maybe southern St. Clair Shores but after that is far

While there isn't much of a selection I've noticed some of the Kroger's (not all) have started carrying a small amount of organic veggies as does Holiday Market in Royal Oak. There's also Good Food Company on Main & Maple as well.

Although far from being completely organic, University Foods on Warren has a better than expected selection of vegetarian, vegan, and organic foods.

There is a group of younger hippyish/vegan looking people who sell organic vegetables at the Eastern Market every week. About 95% of their stuff is organic, and I think it's locally grown.

There is a health food market in GPP on Kercheval. The Sprout House? I think that's the name. I've been in there a couple of times and while it's small, they do have a decent variety of stuff.

Isn't the Cass Corridor Food Co-op supposed to re-open soon?
