It's just being a bit poetic in its descriptions. I don't see them slamming Detroit, rather addressing some of its realities.

It did have some very vaild points. But I take issue with how they portrayed the entire city they impression everthing south Eight Mile is a slum.

I thought the beginning 75% was a bit melodramatic, but the end wasn't too far off.

I remember visiting historic York England about 15 years ago.... and in a clothing store window were advertised "Cool Detroit Jeans!"
