I'm sure that story will warm the cockles of Kyle Smith's heart! The "cheerleaders" are always looking for anything to make them feel good about anything Livedog2 |

Detroitman: Let's not forget the best SBXL story, in my opinion. http://warrendale.blogspot.com /2006/04/pittsburgh-shows-some -warrendale-love.html Livedog2: You are correct. No amount of P.R. can ever bring that young woman back. However, I don't think adding her death onto every SBXL story is a good idea either. Instead of deflating the "cheerleaders" we should be asking what DPD has done to find her killer before he gets a chance to kill someone else. |

Livedog2, I wasn't trying to be a "cheerleader" and I agree as well that no amount of fluff articles about the Super Bowl will bring this young woman back. I just thought that maybe in the long run, articles like that may change people's perception of the area. |

Yes, an event that I wasn't a part of is going to spoil the whole Super Bowl week for me. Its sad, it sucks, it happened. As far as the festivities themselves went, I think they went far better than anyone could have imagined. I still can't believed we weren't getting ripped on every day. It was a great event, and I'm glad I was a part of it. |

Paulmcall, The Superbowl was much more than just "parties and freebies". You may think that nothing has changed, but the new water lines, streetlights, sidewalks, street paving, and restored buildings will benefit Detroit for decades. We are back to reality, but it is a much nicer reality than before the Superbowl. |
