Orange barrels and fencing went up around it last night. There's a backhoe digging on the Campus Martius side of the square right now. |

Their clock is maintained by the Detroit Public Lighting Department. Please report it so a work order can be made and it will get fixed in about a year! LOL That's a good sign, I wonder when it will be done. Who has the link to the renderring? No offense to the DPL crew, they have a ton on their shoulders, just having fun. |

That clock has never been right for as long as I can recall. Then again, I didn't reset the time on my microwave after daylight savings until about a week ago. |

Is the rending of CMart park that has (future) over at campusmartiuspark.com an accurate plan? Personally, I think it is quite plain and boring. I dont think it flows very well into the existing park. |

I think it flows. There is great symmetry from the fountain in CMP to the Bagley Memorial which will be going on Cadillac Square. Looking from Cad. Sq. back towards Woodward/MI Avenue is a sweet venue, and now, the City-County Buidling will be pulled in very nicely. If only we still had city hall, and the new office building was going on the Monroe Block. |

How would you make more exciting? It's just a glorified median there isn't the space for all the features you have at Campus Martius |

Wouldn't it be cool if they could relocate the ice rink on the lawn across the street? It looks like there's about 50% more space there. |

All that new grass to waste. I would have gladly taken that, put it in my little car and put it on my lax yard at home. What's going here anyway? Are they going to relocate the ice rink over there like the ORIGINAL plan states? |

I had no idea that was the original plan, but that makes sense to me. There's more space for the skate rental place, and for skating. |

The idea is to use that strip as an ancillary space. A place for artists / vendors to display their goods during large events, and overflow seating for the lunch crowds. |

A skaing rink on CSP would be stupid. At the width of the CMart park rink, it would be dangerously close to the street on either side. If you make it too much more thin, it will begin to lose it's skating appeal. |

Is CSP also funded/managed by the Detroit Conservancy, or is the city in charge? |

Talking to some of the Au Bon Pain employees it sounded like they were going to do movie screenings or whatever there...I think it is just an extension of the Campus Martius vision in general. Meaning, it will probably serve as an extension of CM, serving basically the same purpose. |

The Cadillac Sq. Park is part of the Campus Martius Master Plan!!! This should be done when the All-Star Game was here last summer.Throwing grass in the area was a WASTE of money but the city did it because of the event. |

I think I'm missing something here...Why would they dig up the grass portion, if this part of the park is going to be grass (based on the plan on the CMP website)?? Unless it's going to be down a couple steps like the CMP grass. |

The CMP website only shows a concept. I would trust that to be the design. |
