I guess I should have just asked what I really wanted to know.... Was the "TYler" exchange (that Belevedere used) in the Southwest Detroit/Near West Detroit area? I'm near Michigan/Livernois and my telephone exchange begins with "89?" Was "TYler" the name of my exchange....Thanks...

It also might have been TIppecanoe (or maybe TYppecanoe), too.

The TYler phone exchange central office is in a bland, maroon-colored, one-storey building on Grand River, across and up a block or two from the old Olympia Stadium site.

Thank you, Ed. I always wondered what the TI stood for in TI Six Fifty Six Sixty Six.
