Heard from an informed and reliable source this weekend that some major changes are coming to Jacoby's. The venerable German restuarant/bar was sold earlier this month and the new owners have some major changes planned. From what I understand that could include everything from a menu to a name change.

I heard the new name will be Jacoby's Multi-Media Lounge. They are going to have Techno three nights a week. Plasmas will be installed that customers will be able to hook up too. It is a new concept that has never been tried before in Detroit.

Maybe the new owners will clean the bathrooms.

I guess it's fitting that the FSC is there this week. Who know how quickly this might move.

Hemingway - Apologies for Saturday. My buddy was pretty wasted and didn't know I invited you and your buddy up for a beer. He barely rememberd that he played "bouncer" the next morning.

Wonder when they will start "Bottle Service" and a guy to powder your balls in the bathrrom. Just leave the shower curtains.

Sharmal: I figured it was something like that. Although, it took me until I had sobered up on Sunday to realize it. It was not the way I wanted to end the night at the time, it worked out for the best in the end. Our drunken arses didn't need any more beer, we started drinking at 11 a.m. before we went to the Tigers game, and it was waaaayyyy past our bed times. Don't worry about it.

You know, Sharmaal, that always seemed a bit much to me as well.......I really don't need help washing my hands.....I love it when they have a "bathroom attendant", to try to be classy, and he's wearing an NWA t-shirt with baggy jeans....class, I tell you.

This is a tragedy there are so many bars with plasmas etc. Another Detroit landmark gone. Can preservationists do anything with non-vacant buildings?
