George Jackson and representatives of Ilitch Holdings were invited to Channel 4 tonight for the taping of Sunday morning's "Flashpoint."

The idea was to get them to discuss the future of the stadium with ... well, with the public.

Both parties declined to appear.

Instead, Devin Scillian sat down with Scott Martin of the Greater Corktown Development Corp., Peter Comstock Riley of Michigan & Trumbull, LLC, and attorney Lou Beer, who's served as legal counsel on other stadium issues across the country.

After their segment, Darci McConnell, Ron Dzwonkowski, and another fella (whose name I've forgotten) discussed local politics with Scillian. They also touched on the stadium issue.

If you're interested, check it out Sunday morning at 10 o'clock on Channel 4.

This was the big secret? This is what got you so excited? A Sunday morning TV show?

Pathetic.

Here we have PCR who was likely trashing the administration and Ilitch, as usual (hmm, wonder why they declined to appear), some attorney trying to get free publicity and Scott Martin of GCDC, the only "key player" among them.

I'm going to propose that the Pistons move to a basketball stadium in PCR's Grosse Pointe neighborhood. Then I'm going to whore to whatever media would have me in order to trash the city government of the Grosse Pointes and the homeowners who oppose my plan. Oh yeah, I've also gotta make a one-sided movie about it. That'll make me a real key player. Devin Scillian, call me!

So, in order to become an insider, I need to get a TV Guide?

In this segment, we learn that Lou Beer is clueless about Tiger Stadium, Peter Comstock Riley has no plan but likes to pimp his movie and trash the Ilitch family and Scott Martin and GCDC are still fighting the good fight.

In other words Drm, we learned nothing NEW?

Somebody needs to make a damn decision about TS already. I thought the "upkeep fund" ran dry at the end of April.

Scott Martin looked a little nervous. I thought he was going to pass out. I was disappointed they didn’t let him speak more because he seemed like the only person that had a clue.
